Concord, NC Charlotte Motor Speedway To keep up to speed with millions of fans, while operating under harsh water conditions, the North Carolina speedway installed a mix of Sloan flush valve types and Waterfree Urinals. The Charlotte Motor Speedway has nearly 2,000 acres and includes a 2.5-mile road course, a six-tenths-mile karting layout, a quarter-mile oval within the walls of the 1.5-mile superspeedway and a one-fifth-mile oval. The speedway hosts three premium NASCAR events each year, plus more than three dozen other events for automotive and motorsports fans. Total seating capacity for fans is approximately 140,000 with annual attendance reaching into the millions. To serve that many visitors, the Concord, N.C., speedway extends its “Fans First” philosophy to the restrooms. Michael G
