Customers & Industries: University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Industry: Medical/Biomedical Product(s): @RISK Application: Evaluating kidney function for organ transplant Summary Medical researchers at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center examined three physiological features (size, split function and histology) of living donor kidneys to determine which has the greatest influence on recipients’ kidney function one year after the transplant. Using @RISK, they were able to expand upon the data they gathered from the 100 study participants and forecast patient outcomes based on donor kidney features. The analysis revealed that kidney size (volume) had the greatest influence on patient renal outcome one year after the transplant. @RISK Home Customers & Industries Universit
