Many fire tests are made in full scale. Example for fire tests can be engine rooms, vehicles, store houses, compartments etc. Most of the tests will include ignite phase, full fire and extinguishing. The ignite phase is sooting, full fire will give high temperatures (500-700 °C) and the extinguish phase glows and moisture. The laboratory is operated eight hours a day.
