Kemps was specied by StudioFractal to design and manufacture a bespoke, hexagonal LED lightbox as a part of the refurbishment of the West One Shopping Centre, Oxford St, London. This was an extremely challenging project for us as we were required to create 128 bespoke LED luminaires in just 8 weeks. The project involved designing, extruding and assembling a new Aluminium prole. The xtures were designed to slot into the centre’s hexagonal ceiling tiling and were as much about creating a spectacle as they were practically lighting the space. The unique shape meant we were unable to illuminate them using o the shelf LED PCB’s.
