Internal Use Only RESULTS Flash Wesley Vale Improves Quality with ProFlow on Beloit Concept IV Headbox The startup of a new Beloit Concept IV headbox equipped with ProFlow actuators and TotalPlant controls provided immediate quality improvements for PM 11 at Australia Paper?s Wesley Vale, Tasmania mill. Headbox Upgrade Description Before the headbox upgrade, the paper machine had an Escher-Wyss headbox with a 36 zone ThermaTrol system for CD control. CD dry weight was measured at the size press. In addition to the new headbox, the upgrade included moving weight measurement to the reel scanner. The scanning system was also upgraded to provide 432 minislice profiles to take advantage of the higher resolution of the ProFlow actuator system.
