Commissioned by Gwynedd County Council, who secured funding of over £8m for its construction, the centre was created to increase opportunities for the surrounding community and boost the local economy. Due to its coastal location, the new build had to be constructed to withstand the elements, while being a stunning focal point for those living in Pwllheli and visiting from across the UK.
