In 2011, Weedon Parish Council consulted with community members to create a parish plan which would determine where money would be spent in the community. The existing play area was worn and outdated so it was decided that new equipment and a revamp of the area was needed. The play area is at the heart of the community and is surrounded by woodland and green space and the new development had to be sympathetic to the site. An extensive consultation process was carried out which highlighted that the area had to cater to the 2 -14 age group as well as providing a nice community space for events. The consultation event also provided feedback on equipment, and most notably was the desire for a zip-line, similar to a slack line, to be installed. The Jupiter Play design team set to work
