WAREG ® WAREG PREVENTS STORMWATER FLOODING IN SWEDEN Location: Åkersberga, Sweden Customer: Åkersberga Council Stormwater Division PROBLEM: An industrial area in Åkersberga suffered from regular ooding due an overloading of the stormwater system. When stormwater ran un-checked into the nearby ditch the ditch overowed and ooded the industrial area causing substantial damage on a regular basis. WaReg 3.0 Åkersberga WaReg 3.0 Åkersberga SOLUTION: Åkersbergas Stormwater Division designed a retention pond two paralell WaReg to regulate the ow from the pond into the nearby ditch. By creating a retention pond the stormwater was able to be stored allowing for a maximum outow of 50l/s. By restricting the ow to the ditch downstream ooding was resolved.
