To support development of a system that grants a delivery person controlled entrance to a locked door, Klika Tech designed a driver for cellular communication to address poor internet connectivity between the Controller running on Amazon FreeRTOS and AWS-powered Back-End. To overcome potential poor internet connectivity, Amazon FreeRTOS Cellular Integration requirements were met with the integration of a Quectel BG96 (BG96MA-128-SGN) GSM modem that provides multiple certificates in multiple markets: A GSM Carrier can be selected on the Key for Business side; any 4G provider’s SIM can be used; and 4G LTE Cat M1 mode is available.
