University Reduces Risk and Gains Flexibility With Tape-to-Cloud Backup Infrastructure Modernization

Insight conducted a Veritas Data Protection Assessment and Cloud Envisioning Workshop to design a scalable, cost-efficient cloud solution. Using NetBackup Cloud Catalyst, Insight migrated 5,440 tapes and 155TB of monthly data to Azure, decommissioned legacy hardware, and deployed new NetBackup appliances. The modernization improved backup efficiency, lowered costs, reduced downtime risk, and enabled off-site replication, creating a secure, flexible cloud-based infrastructure for future growth.
