A large university hospital in Denmark needed a faster way for doctors and nurses to access patient information without returning to nurses’ stations or carrying portable PCs. Black Box provided a MediaCento AV-over-IP solution, extending HDMI content from nurses’ stations to 16–20 screens in patient rooms per station. Compatible with HDMI and DisplayPort, the system allows synchronized or individualized displays and is managed centrally through MediaCento Controllers. With added redundancy for reliability, the hospital now saves staff time, improves workflows, and gives caregivers more time for patient interaction, while preparing for future expansion.
