Case Study | February 2014 UnitingCare Community is a leading provider of community services in Queensland with over 2000 staff and approximately 6000 volunteers. UnitingCare Community runs community service programs focused on disability support, child and family care and crisis support and operates Lifeline Shops across metropolitan, rural and regional Queensland. In 2012, UnitingCare Community launched its Environmental Sustainability project and embarked on a range of initiatives to reduce carbon emissions and organisational costs across 297 properties. Energy audits were conducted on various sites throughout the state including the State Office in Fortitude Valley.
