Just-in-tme delivery Years ago, Unilin invested in an impressive automated warehouse with 22,500 pallet spaces. The warehouse, however, allows for laminate planks up to 1.5 m long, while the company now also has planks of up to 2.1 m in its range. That range is becoming increasingly important because of its aesthetics. The planks that arrive here for a final finish through a subsidiary in Malaysia are up to over 2.2 m long. Those were stored in a separate area. “Initially we used to stack those large planks manually, using forklifts and automated lifting systems.
