Price Photographer The Portola Dining Commons is part of the larger San Joaquin development, which provides UC Santa Barbara with new on- campus accommodation for 1,000 students, as well as additional student amenities and housing for faculty and staff. The new 25,000ft2 building includes a ground floor, 800-seat dining hall with the capacity to serve 2,500 people a day. It provides students with a lively eating environment in which to enjoy their meals, featuring indoor and outdoor dining areas, views to the mountains, and a dynamic interchange with the urban street edge.
