Featuring an aesthetic structural steel tube that serves as a windbreak for the passenger boarding areas, the station fills an important transportation gap in Chicago’s Near South Side, provides improved access to the McCormick Place convention center campus, and supports the city’s efforts to revitalize the newly designated Motor Row entertainment district.
