The City’s busy urban expressway serves both the surrounding urban areas and the needs of long-distance through traffic. It comprises five horizontal, six vertical, one ring and nine connection roads. The total length of the expressway is 14.3 kilometers. Its red line has a width of 64 meters and incorporates six lanes of traffic. With a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour, the expressway also includes one particularly large bridge, the Jialing River Bridge, as well as nine interchange bridges and three road tunnels.
