T.Y. Lin International Group–Dagu Bridge

Lin International Group | Projects | Dagu Bridge An iconic architectural landmark in Tianjin, the Dagu Bridge is located in Tianjin’s urban Consumer Recreation District (CRD), and crosses the Haihe River at the point where the river is about 100 meters wide. A tied arch structure was selected for the 106 meter main span. Each arch rib has a three-dimensional structural system by having two planes of hangers. The bridge carries six lane traffic and two pedestrian paths, with a width that varies from 30 to 60.8 meters. In order to provide sufficient headroom for sightseeing boats to cruise the river, the maximum depth of the bridge girder is only 1.3 meters at the navigation opening.
