The UK Ministry of Defence partnered with Trustwave to adopt the NIST Cybersecurity Framework in a more engaging way through customized crisis simulations. Traditional training was seen as dull and technical, so Trustwave created tailored workshops simulating a cyberattack on a corporate system supporting the Army. Conducted at Army Headquarters, these sessions guided personnel through defense, response, and recovery phases, making the NIST framework relevant to decision-makers. With former military staff leading, the workshops added realism and credibility. Their success led to the Army commissioning 10 additional workshops and considering Trustwave for future cybersecurity needs.
