Peter Brett (PBA) | Trinity Pier, Plymouth PBA has been engaged in the assessment and reconstruction of a section of historical quay wall in Millbay, Plymouth. The wall dates back over 100 years but collapsed in 2016. Homes England commissioned PBA to provide ground investigation, structural designs, ecology assessments and marine licensing, followed by construction project management. We developed a reconstruction design based on a mass concrete gravity wall with a decorative stone cladding finish to match surrounding sections of wall. Our designs were based around the constraints posed by working in the tidal environment within a busy marina and close to the sensitive ecological receptors presented by Plymouth Sound.
