The requirement for a train maintenance workshop came from a UK based client specialising in the manufacture of rolling stock. Part of their operation included the leasing of an existing workshop on their site in the Midlands. When the lease of this building was taken over by another company, they needed to find an alternative covered area to work on the trains. And, of course, it needed to be built over the track to enable the easy transfer in and out of the trains. - As a fast turnaround was important to ensure no downtime, this direct route to the manufacturer was invaluable. The following train workshop was specified, manufactured and took just 4 days to install on site.
