TIM enhances container capabilities with Red Hat OpenShift 4
TIM Group migrated its critical BSS applications to Red Hat OpenShift 4 with no downtime, enhancing efficiency and scalability. Supported by Red Hat’s TAM and migration toolkit, TIM simplified cluster provisioning from months to days and streamlined management using Red Hat Enterprise Linux CoreOS. Automated updates via OpenShift Update Service reduced manual work, cutting staff needs and freeing resources for strategic projects. TIM also adopted Ceph-based storage for improved resilience and is exploring advanced features like OpenShift Service Mesh and Red Hat Quay to further evolve its microservices architecture and as-a-Service model.
