Background This University library occupies three floors of a new extension. The shelving system needed to complement the striking architecture and contemporary interior. Challenge To design a high quality system, including motion sensor lighting that would be functional for students and practical for staff. Solution Almost 1000 metres of double sided free standing white Uniflex shelving was installed. The shelving was fitted with motion sensor lighting to conserve energy and improve green credentials. Perforated steel end panels add to the modern styling whilst bespoke accessories ensure that the shelving meets the staff and stock needs exactly.
