Case Study The Union Rooms Client: JD Wetherspoon plc Location: Newcastle Value: £180,000 Timescale: 2 Weeks Design Team: LBF Architects, Storrier & Donaldson Challenge Pacific Building was tasked with the conversion and upgrading of a Grade A listed building to form a restaurant and bar for JD Wetherspoon in Newcastle. Part of a £2 million development project of the premises, which had previously lain empty for a number of years, works included the installation of three new bars, flooring and stone and timber works, in addition to the installation of external floodlighting – all of which was to be completed within two weeks.
