The Next Generation of High-Speed Rail Arrives Helping Amtrak get on the fast track. Today, many of the hourly Acela Express trainsets between Washington DC and Boston sell out, indicative of a market poised for growth. Increased demand in the corridor led to Amtrak’s decision to procure a fleet of Next Generation high-speed trainsets. LTK has provided technical and program management, working with Amtrak throughout the trainset procurement by conducting an International Marketplace High-Speed Rail Survey, specification development, pre- and post- award Buy America audits, design review and other program support.
