Long Rake Spar - The National Memorial Arboretum Long Rake Spar were proud to be part of the recently unveiled RAF 47 Squadron Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. Addagrip approved contractor Coatech Ltd were chosen to install the surfacing around the recently unveiled Situated in Alrewas, on the edge of the National Forest. The Arboretum is home to over 330 memorials. The new memorial, a representation of all the past, present and future members of No. 47 Squadron, features three pilots by sculptor Peter Naylor and is sited next to the River Thames. The design required a Resin Bound paved surround in a wave pattern using two contrasting colours that would be aesthetically pleasing but not detract from the sculpture.
