The Isle of Sheppey Academy opened in September 2009 as a mixed school for 11 - 19 year olds, replacing an existing Upper school and 3 Middle schools (all three Librarians transferred from the Middle Schools). It is based on 2 sites, East and West, with 5 schools of learning, each school containing approximately 500 students. The school is due to move into new buildings in 2013. When I started at the East Site they had been without a library
