Case Study The £3.8 million refurbishment in the Royal Borough of Greenwich com- prises 13 two storey flats, of timber frame construction. Over the course of 97 weeks, the properties were re-roofed and then insulated using SPSenvi- rowall 90mm GEPS, Envirobase and FlexiSil topcoat by SERS. SPSenvirowall recommended using 90mm GEPS to achieve a U-value calculation of 0.29W/m2.k, while the Envirobase and Flexisil topcoat was used to achieve the overall look of the external façade and ensuring a long lasting easy to maintain look. This was a complex contract to work on due to properties being deemed a fire risk as they were of timber construction and had large areas of asbes - tos.
