The project included 75 km of track, including 5 km of tunnels, and 47 stations both above and below ground. A total of 5,200 tunnel pre-cast concrete segments and 16,000 viaduct concrete segments were required for the project. Element conducted testing of this concrete from its main Dubai laboratory as well as six sites and 12 mobile laboratories, each strategically located along the route of the Metro to ensure samples were cured at the temperature stipulated by the international test method.
