In 2001 the College of the North Atlantic (CNAQ) in Newfoundland, Canada, entered into a 10 year agreement with the State of Qatar to develop a comprehensive College of Technology. The College’s campus consists of more than 75,000 square meters in 21 buildings, all linked by courtyards and walkways. It’s designed to hold 3000 students, and features state of the art computer systems, industrial workshops and laboratories. Each programme area, including Engineering Technology, Health Sciences, Information Technology, Business and a Security Academy, have dedicated buildings to accommodate their own specialty shops, labs and equipment.
