The larger enterprise network is secured with state-of-the-art cybersecurity technologies and a 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC). The smaller practice networks run the cybersecurity gamut, with some having moderate protections and most having very little. Connecting the networks outright would have gone against good security practices.
