BBC Chartering January 2015 – As an option to the Snøhvit CO2 Solution project awarded in 2013, Technip was charged with an additional spread for the Gullfaks Rimfaksdalen (GRD) Marine Operations Pipelay and Subsea Installation project of Statoil ASA. The project, which is a subsea tie-back to the existing Gullfaks A platform offshore Norway, is being executed by Technip’s operating center in Oslo, Norway. The project includes the installation of a 280mt subsea template early this year. Matching the projects overall schedule, the template and important components were already mobilized and got shipped onboard the BBC Vesuvius. Being unloaded in Ågotnes, the template made its way from Tønsberg and accomplished a short voyage of only 340 nm around the southern tip of Norway early December 2
