Case Study The Crime Fighting Company TATA CHEMICALS METAL THEFT AT GREAT RISK The T ata Chemical Europe (TCE) Winnington Site in Northwich is spread over a large geographical area and includes a number of large factory buildings. Some of these buildings were decommissioned in 2014 with the closure of the soda ash and calcium chloride plant. TCE’ s Head Office and the sodium bicarbonate plant remain at Winnington. Unfortunately , in recent years the decommissioned buildings have become a magnet for trespassers, thrill seekers and metal thieves, at considerable risk to themselves and others.
