Tampa General Hospital Deploys Automation to Harness the Power of Its Data
Clinical and business leaders at Tampa General Hospital rely on a “daily blast” dashboard that’s filled with critical information they need for daily hospital operations. Unfortunately, maintaining and updating the dashboard in a timely manner created a number of challenges for the IT staff responsible for managing and distributing it to executives by the daily 8:00 a.m. deadline. If that email isn’t out by 8:00, IT gets a call. We rely on upstream systems like our Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system for a lot of the data, and we often couldn’t get the data we needed until 7:00 or 8:00 in the morning.
