The project A new development in the ‘Tacheles’ cultural centre in the heart of Berlin will comprise buildings for residential, retail, oce and hotel use, together with a three-storey underground car park. Keller Grundbau secured the contract to complete the excavation pit with two partners. The challenge The main technical challenges were to achieve water tightness of 1.5l/s per 1,000m 2 and meet special requirements for the jet grouting sealing. Logistics were also a challenge in the busy city-centre neighbourhood.
