Project Highlights: T. Y . Lin International led the development of a “sustainable freight strategy” to plan for goods movement in the context presented in the draft Portland Plan 2035, which anticipates a far denser population, with significant increases and changes in consumption patterns, as well as increased and diverse economic activities. While shippers and carriers will certainly respond to these changes with different logistics strategies, it is essential that the City of Portland also consider what can be done to make sure that its actions can help businesses grow and that they avoid creating impedances to freight flows.
