SR 520 experiences substan- tial season traffic fluctuations due to tourist-related traffic. Additionally, SR 520 is also a critical hurricane evacuation route. SR 520 in Merritt Island, Florida is a 2.5 mile corridor consisting of 10 traffic signals that link Merritt Island and Kiwanis Island.
