This expansion project improves the passenger experience and brings long-term flexibility to Terminal 4. To consolidate its operations and improve the passenger experience, Delta Air Lines initiated a redevelopment of its facilities at JFK International Airport. For an expansion project that added 75,000 square feet and 11 gates to Terminal 4’s Concourse B, Delta selected HOK to provide structural engineering, overall terminal engineering integration and planning for flexibility. The expansion includes space for international arrivals and for long-term adaptability and growth. It has allowed for 80 percent of the “Delta Connection” flights to relocate from Terminal 2 to Terminal 4. JFK International Airport is now Delta’s second-largest hub.
