Statistics Korea partnered with Red Hat to create a cloud-based, next-generation statistical platform using Red Hat OpenShift, JBoss, and consulting services. The goal was to improve data analysis, streamline processes, and handle increasing data complexity. By adopting a container-based infrastructure, they reduced system load, boosted development productivity, and enhanced statistical quality. The platform allows faster responses to public service demands and standardizes data preparation, reducing costs and improving efficiency in producing national statistics. This marks the first cloud implementation by Korea’s National Statistical Office.
