St John Fisher Catholic High School, Peterborough This was a new build, extension and refurbishment project to modernise this Peterborough Secondary School and offer first-class educational facilities to its 750 pupils and the wider community. To help reduce energy consumption, Rolton Group incorporated a number of environmentally sustainable features into the design, including a ground source heat pump, solar hot water collectors mounted on the south-facing roofs and a wind turbine located within the entrance to the school. To further enhance its green credentials, the new-build classroom block and sports hall were constructed using laminated timber, sourced from sustainable forests.
