Exemplified in ceilings in the now restored dining rooms which were built in the 1650’s in a style suggestive of Inigo Jones. Decades of leaking roofs and dry rot had taken an extensive toll. Once the infrastructure supporting the ceilings and walls were repaired Ellis and Co commissioned Rene Rice and Lynn Humphreys to restore the plaster work.
