London Excel v4_0 Q-SYS is a scalable digital audio network system that can route and manage audio across standard computer networks. ExCel site engineer Pat Bradley first saw a demonstration of Q-SYS and its capabilities when SSE exhibited the product on their stand at PLASA 2014, which of course was held at ExCel. It became apparent to Pat that it was the ideal solution to replace the building's ageing audio infrastructure. The system installed by SSE uses one of the larger QSC Q-SYS digital signal processors - the Core 1100 which can cope with the large existing channel count and allow capacity as the audio requirement grows. The system is designed to provide network and hardware redundancy. It uses the building's existing optical fibre network ring to distribute up to 256 bi-direction
