Southampton Port Southampton, Hampshire The port of Southampton, owned and operated by Associated British Ports (ABP), is one of the UK's major deep water ports handling around 14 million tonnes of cargo per annum and is Europe's leading turnaround cruise port with around 1.7 million cruise passengers passing though each year. Home to many of the UK's prestigious eets including those of P&O Cruises and Cunard Line. Kingsher Lighting was asked to t and supply a new high mast lighting system at Dock Gate 20 on behalf of tenant the Ford Motor Company. The requirement was to light (in budget but meeting the required regulatory levels) the main dock area where Ford store their vehicles for loading and unloading. The area is a very busy area with moving vehicles creating potential hazards
