South American Mine’s Jumbo Drilling Rig Causing Tension
1 PagesCUSTOMER PROBLEM: In this underground mining application, the cable was failing due to extreme abrasion and corkscrewing due to mechanical tension that is exerted from the reeling system. The customer was replacing the cable every 2 months. TPC SOLUTION: TPC’s Super-Trex ® GGC 2/0 3 conductor cable was replaced in one jumbo drilling rig application. CUSTOMER’S RESULT: After 9 months, TPC GGC cable is still working in the application.
