South African Classic Vehicle Restorer opts for Wet Blasting Cabinet Bernard Schofield owns a classic car and motorcycle restoration business on the west side of South Africa. He recently purchased an Aquablast 915, wet abrasive blasting cabinet, to clean aluminium castings used in the restoration process. Previously to purchasing Vixen’s wetblasting cabinet, Bernard tried many finishing techniques, including sand blasting and soda blasting. He found that all of these techniques were unsuccessful in creating an ‘as new’ finish needed to compliment the rest of the restoration work on the vehicles.
