In 2019, Hansen Technologies acquired Sigma Systems, prompting the need to modernize Sigma’s Toronto data center and migrate over 400 servers to Microsoft Azure. Partnering with Softchoice, which had previously worked with Sigma, Hansen leveraged the Azure Migration Program to complete the transition of 462 servers in just six weeks. This rapid migration enabled Hansen to eliminate costly legacy infrastructure, enhance system performance, strengthen cybersecurity, and automate critical processes such as system patching. The collaboration between Hansen and Softchoice ensured a smooth transition and laid the foundation for future cloud modernization initiatives.
