Architectural design firms Albert Kahn Associates, Inc. and Pratt Design Studio, together with Korda/Nemeth Engineering were tasked with reimagining a new $450 million health care campus that incorporated high- tech, comprehensive care with a home-like appeal. The result was an 866,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art acute health care facility redesigned for patient-centered comfort inside and out. The contemporary Prairie-style design includedthoughtful details like libraries and kitchens, all with abundant natural light.
