Singapore General Hospital
VERS WALL Blk 4, Singapore General Hospital 1 Hospital Drive, Singapore Anchoring pilasters of the VGM Green Wall system were bolted to free-standing metal pillars erected along 12 m of the wall of the Pharmacy fronting the courtyard. Vertical Greening Modules (VGM), each containing a geotextile bag were pre-planted in a controlled nursery environment 2 months prior to installation. The pre-planting ensures firm establishment and also allows the selected plants to be orientated vertically. The completed installation creates five 2.5 m high green wall panels running along the façade of the Pharmacy. The living wall provides a visually appealing, therapeutic and healing environment at the Courtyard enjoyed by recuperating patients and their visitors and also the hospital staff. The mural of
