We initially consulted with all the Class One Railways to assess their individual needs and worked with them to develop antenna and filter solutions that would allow them to implement PTC throughout their rail systems. Sinclair developed wayside, base station and locomotive solutions that allowed highly reliable wireless coverage. The main concept of PTC as defined for North American Class I freight railroads is that a train receives information about its location and where it is allowed to safely travel, also known as movement authorities.
