The goal was to reduce downtime and improve efficiency by improving on the short life being provided by timing belt drives. Ramsey retrofitted the exist- ing drive case with silent chain and sprockets, replacing all timing belt components. Significant improvement in drive life was achieved and the manufacturer is considering widespread retrofit- ting with Ramsey silent chain.
