FTL’s VariPig was deployed on the 710 km Åsgard pipeline, which varied from 42” to 28” diameter, posing challenges for traditional pigs. VariPig’s suspension-arm design enabled true centerline running, low friction, and even wear across large diameter changes. In dewatering operations, it reduced water content in glycol slugs from 3–4% to just 0.4%, delivering faster start-up, improved efficiency, and significant long-term cost savings for the operator.
